05/16/07 Viking Sponsors U of MN Engineering Team

Viking Engineering & Development sponsored a University of Minnesota School of Engineering Design & Build team. This unique collaboration has Senior Engineering students teaming with manufacturing companies to design, develop, and build a prototype for both exhibition in a year-end showcase and for class credit.

Viking Engineering Manager Brain Ketel and Viking Wall Panel Specialist Paul Bodem worked with Chris Altringer, Brian Strempke, Nate Perkins, Kevin Speltz, Jeff Morness, and Ryan Jacobi from the U of M on a Wall Panel Cart.

Jeff Morness had very positive comments about his collaboration with fellow team members and with the Viking Staff. He called it "and excellent experience" and was impressed by the enthusiasm and ability of the Viking Team to mentor and give feedback during the project.

Viking would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the U of M team on their second place finish in the showcase and wish each newly graduating Engineer every success in their career.
